Online Economics with Justice Course
Can viewing economics as a human study – through the prism of justice,
fairness and natural law – help us better understand our world?
Economics with Justice seeks to show that freedom and prosperity are possible
for people everywhere, providing we follow economic laws and aim for a fair
outcome from economic arrangements.

• Over ten weekly sessions you’ll take a fresh approach to many of the major issues of our time
• Each session is an hour long
Week 1: Economics with Justice
We start by exploring the scope of economics, the nature of justice and how justice operates in the economic realm.
Week 2: The Nature of society
We look at the structure of human society centred on the family and the ways the family interacts with the community
Week 3: Not Stealing
We examine the nature of wealth and capital, how they are produced and how they are distributed
Week 4: Mother Earth
We explore our dependence on the natural world and the importance of our relationship with it for our prosperity and well-being
Week 5: The Importance of Work
We look at the business of making a living and how important work is for our welfare
Week 6: Credit and Money
We explore what credit and money are with examples to show how credit can work to enhance our freedom and prosperity.
Week 7: Do as you would be done by
This session is about exchange, trade and how the market works. We also explore the limits of the market
Week 8: Responsible and irresponsible banking
We look at banks, their role, what happens when things go wrong and how banks can work effectively for the good of the economy
Week 9: Public services and the role of Government
We look at the role of Government and how public services are paid for
Week 10: Just public revenue
The final session pieces together the different aspects of economics with justice with examples of good practice
